Open Studios All Year Long

If you're planning a trip to the Mendocino Coast, here's a chance to meet a few local artists, see their studio-galleries, and have a bit of fun exploring the back roads all at the same time.

Three Rivers Studios, a group of nine Mendocino Artists, have their unique studios open to the public on a year-round basis. If you like art, enjoy meeting artists and learning about their craft, this is the way to go.

While regular studio tours, which happen once a year in many parts of the country, are a great way to meet artists and see their work, they can also be taxing. Touring 40 studios, or in some cases up to 300, in one or two weekends doesn't leave much time to learn about how the art is made. Also, scheduling your vacation to coincide with an annual studio tour might be difficult.

The majority of our studios are only a few minutes—maybe 20 at the most— from the town of Mendocino, so we're not talking about driving a lot of miles. And you don't have to see all of us.
